Job Title: Part-Time Solicitor
Location: Mudgee, NSW

We are seeking a motivated and passionate part-time solicitor to join our dynamic team and contribute to our expanding client base.

Role overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor, looking to grow their legal knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will work across various legal matters, including family law, conveyancing, succession law, and more. This role provides the opportunity to gain valuable experience, represent clients in court, and manage legal files, while contributing to the continued success of our firm.

    • Interview clients to determine issues of law and provide initial recommendations for appropriate legal action.

    • Take instructions from clients across a range of legal matters

    • Represent clients and prepare cases for court, including conducting investigations, legal research, arranging witnesses, and preparing legal documents.

    • Provide legal advice to clients on a range of legal matters

    • Review and advise on contracts between parties, as required.

    • Prepare a range of legal documents.

    • Manage client files efficiently and ensure all deadlines are met.

    • Instruct counsel on complex matters in the Federal Circuit and Family Court, as well as the Magistrates’ Court.

    • Appear in court, including the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Magistrates’ Court.

    • Provide excellent client service and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.

    • At least one-year of post-admission experience (PAE) preferred.

    • Holds a relevant Bachelor of Law degree (or higher).

    • Admitted to the NSW Supreme Court (or other Australian jurisdiction) and holds a current practising certificate.

    • Previous experience in family law, conveyancing, and/or succession law is desirable but not essential.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Effective time management and organisational skills.

    • Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.

    • Capable of managing multiple tasks and working under pressure.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Title: Paralegal / Licensed Conveyancer
Location: Mudgee, NSW

We are looking for a motivated and reliable paralegal/ licensed conveyancer to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the success of our expanding practice.

Role overview

The paralegal/licensed conveyancer will play a vital role in assisting our solicitors and clients with conveyancing transactions and a range of other legal matters. You will work alongside experienced professionals and further develop your career in the legal industry.

    • Assist in managing and processing conveyancing transactions, including preparing legal documents, conducting property searches, and liaising with clients, agents, and other stakeholders.

    • Provide support in other areas of law.

    • Draft legal documents, including contracts, sale agreements, and settlement statements.

    • Prepare and lodge documents with government agencies, including land titles and other legal authorities.

    • Maintain and organise client files, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of all matters.

    • Liaise with clients to gather information, provide updates, and offer general assistance.

    • Assist in preparing for settlement, including co-ordinating with parties involved and ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.

    • Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed.

    • Current license as a conveyancer, or significant experience working in conveyancing or property law is desirable.

    • Previous experience in a law firm environment, particularly in conveyancing, is highly desirable.

    • Strong understanding of conveyancing processes and related legal documentation.

    • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team.

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
